September Highlight

Spaghetti supper, treasure hunt and basket raffle was a success again this year. Over 500 people were served a delicious nutritious dinner! There was even a gluten free spaghetti option this year, to the delight of many. (THANK YOU!)

Our students had a great time hunting around searching for the hints and clues on the treasure hunt. I noticed kids challenging each other as well as big kids and little kids teaming up and devising strategy!

Always fun is the basket raffle. Mrs. Clark won the "Maine Basket" and Dr. Tuell won the "Spaghetti Basket". Thank you everyone who donated!

Grown ups had the opportunity to visit many of the classrooms. Students took advantage of the opportunity to show their work space to their adults who mean the most to them. Beaming with pride, they seem to revel in being able to show off their special grown ups, to their teachers and classmates, as well. THANK YOU TEACHERS!!

This week, your kids probably brought home the fall fundraiser. The fundraiser will run until the 8th. (one week!)

Our school has partnered with Charleston Wrap for our major fundraising campaign this year. There are over 500 high quality items to choose from and every purchase you make earns much needed money for our school. Simply click the link above or go to to shop. All items purchased will ship directly to you and there is free shipping on all orders over $75.

First, register your student and a six digit code will be automatically generated for your student to earn prizes during our fundraising campaign.
Then click on the “SHOP NOW” button that will take you to the:
“Choose how you would like to Assign Credit and Shop” section. If you wish to assign credit to your student, enter the six digit student code in to the ”Student & School Credit” section. Meeting Minutes September 10, 2014

The Box Top collecting is underway once again. The idea that we would like to try this year is that children who bring in box tops will receive a bean for each box top they bring in. The children will in turn be able to place these beans in a collective jar in the lobby for all to see. We are looking to have a collaborative effort from all students to fill the jar with a goal of an ice cream social or some other whole school event.
Coca-Cola tops are being collected as well.
The scavenger hunt is on for the spaghetti supper. A clean- up crew list will be put up on volunteer spot. The event will be held Sept. 18. Gluten free pasta will be available. Raffle baskets will be on sale; each community is making up a basket as well as the PTC.
The Riverfest concessions will be chili cheese dogs and nachos. A sign up for help and donations is on volunteer spot.
Kristen is working on the on-line auction; she will be putting out a paper with information about it and asking for any donations.
Women’s Day Out will happen again this year; the date is not exactly known yet. (Nov.8?)
Holiday Bazaar is set for Dec.6th with Erin Rossignol as its fearless leader.
J.B. asked if the PTC could purchase a new tarp; approved.
Basant Paradis will take over the Campbell Soup Labels.
Nov. 10th will be Margarita Night (we are hoping)
The fall fundraiser will be Charleston Wrap.
The ptc has approved for $200.00 to be spent on snacks for students who need one during the day. This is on a monthly basis or as needed.
The 5th grade parents have an opportunity to raise money for the end of the year graduation celebration through concessions earned at the talent show, puppet show. Information about this will be sent home after the 5th grade teacher team has a chance to think about this opportunity and set it up for their parents.
Thank you for everyone who came to the meeting. The next meeting will be in Oct. Hope to see you there.
